Alma Toaspern is a freelance dancer, choreographer and teacher from Germany. She studied contemporary and classical dance at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt/ Main and received a scholarship of the German National Academic Foundation (Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes). In 2014 she graduated from the Research Cycle at P.A.R.T.S., Brussels under the direction of Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker. She has worked a.o. with Bobbi Jene, Trajal Harrell, Alexandra Bachzetsis, Ioannis Mandafounis, Hermann Heisig, Irina Pauls a.o.. Her own work is shown mostly throughout Europe.
From Season 2018/2019 onwards she will be member of the Company Corpus - a dance laboratory as part of the Royal Danish Ballet.
She teaches workshops and classes in contemporary dance and improvisation. She co-founded, organises and teaches the professional dance training ProfiTraining in Leipzig since 2017.
