LIEBE is inspired by Getting Lost, the autobiographical work of Nobel laureate Annie Ernaux. This production offers a radical and poetic feminist exploration of desire, infatuation, and the fragile terrain of emotional vulnerability.
Why do we yearn for what ultimately wounds us?
Drawing on Ernaux’s searing diary entries, choreography and live vocals unfold within Christian Friedländer’s evocative stage design to create a charged atmosphere of intimate urgency—moving between the tender, the clichéd, the comic, and the painfully awkward.
